Boots, this cute ginger cat from Melbourne, Australia, has been curious his whole life. That curiosity led him to the top of a tree this week where he found himself suddenly out of safe branch options. Boot was stuck.
Efforts to lure Boots down proved unsuccessful until Boots’ neighbor Susie Butler started a GoFundMe to hire a professional and bring that ginger kitty safely down to earth. The campaign raised $205—just enough to call in the big guns.
Nigel Williamson appeared on the scene and had Boots down in minutes. “He’s perfectly OK health-wise, but being an indoor cat, he was a little bit scared,” Williams said. “The longest I’ve had a cat up a tree is 21 days—cats are very hardy animals.”
Boots’ neighbor Susie said that the local branch of the RSPCA and the fire brigade refused to help get Boots down safely.
